What an absolute find. Such a fun but chilled space. We didn’t leave from check in to check out!
Sat on the deck, played pool and the fruit machine, watched a film, cooked in the galley (bar) kitchen, and even played old style cassettes of soul music!

Great place, proper hidden gem, only stayed the one night, but was great! Would make a great base for adventures or just to chill out. Was made very welcome, hosts not intrusive, really good!

I can confidently say that my stay at this property was one of the most unique and best experiences which I have had through Airbnb. The property itself is utterly unique; a fascinating blend of materials which have perfectly replicated 'The Local Pub'. You know the one. The one where you go to 'back home' in whichever village you come from. The one where your parents used to go. Probably had their wedding reception there too. It's absolutely uncanny.
The surroundings are fantastic- right next to the river with a veranda, seating, and a fully stocked chimenea. After a hard day at work I was treated to a wonderful evening reading a book, drinking a cold, crisp lager, with a roaring fire and watching the sun slowly set on a summer's evening.
The hosts were beyond welcoming and friendly. They were absolutely delightful individuals who did absolutely everything they could to make me comfortable. I am left desperately hoping that I am sent on away work here again- then I can come back!

Breath taking . Riverside view so peaceful. Quirky unique living space with full size pool table and fruit machine. very comfy bed and kitchen was an old bar incredible design . Hosts were so friendly nothing to much trouble. already planning our next visit .

Thanks for all the thoughtful touches and effort with decor and facilities - it makes all the difference. Our favourite moment: the view! So relaxing to look out of those doors and windows whether you're playing pool, listening to music or chilling with a drink.

Tami and Carl fantastic hosts and provided some beautiful touches with their wonderful baskets and they pre-loaded the fires for us .
A 5 star just doesn't do justice . The information we received about the area and restaurant's was second to none .

Thank you for sharing this unique property. A perfect mix of activities and peace and quiet! Our favorite moment: Watching the cormorant and swans on the river and playing pool! Also a curry at The Railway and a walk along the river.

This B&B is absolutely the best place I’ve stayed. There was so much to do in the room, pool table, plenty of board games, fun slot machine 💗 the view from the balcony was absolutely stunning and was lovely to wake up to with a cuppa by the window💗 will deffo be coming back here in the warmer weather to enjoy the patio and also my fave part THE BED IS SO COMFY I SLEPT LIKE A DREAM 10/10 have already recommended to friends

Splendid place for the one night we stayed, amazing location away from the main road and adjacent to the calm Briggate river. The place was very clean, it had everything we needed. It looked and felt just like the photos showed, a novel pub-style intimate place with a bar for the kitchen and free pool and fruit machine, we loved it! The bed was very comfortable and the view splendid. Thank you Tami & Carl.

spent 4 wonderful nights in a joy of a place. It was fun so much to keep us occupied and beautiful views over the river and the countryside beyond. Such a peaceful location and the accommodation was amazing everything you could think of was there and Tami and Carl were always available and a pleasure to meet. A fantastic place to unwind and forget about the rest of the world.

Did not disappoint! The place is amazing and so peaceful, we had a great time and the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch too! This is the second time being here and won't be the last.. again, I'd always recommend!

I was looking for something a little different for my partners birthday break and boy did I find it.
The riverside picture view which is the first one you see on the Air BNB platform drew me in but it was the unique quirk and charm of the apartment which made me very quickly realise my search for a stay was over.
A huge apartment room with zones for different purposes... bar and kitchen, dining table, lounge and tv, bed, seating for the balcony and view, wardrobe and dresser and then there's the tools of entertainment, pool table, fruit machine, guitar, games and music.
It's just so well equipped.
Spent 3 nights here and really wished we'd have booked it for longer. My partner wanted to stay in and enjoy the peace and tranquility here rather than head out to surrounding attractions of Ely and Cambridge etc, absolutely fine by me, no complaints about that 😊
If you are considering this as an option for a stay... just book it, you won't regret the choice. Thank you Tami & Carl 🤗

Such a lovely stay.
You step out of your car into peace. It's so lovely by the river.
We were there less than 20mins before seeing our first kingfisher.
The apartment is as described. Clean, comfortable, everything you need.
We had fun playing the games provided as well as chilling in the outside space.
We kept ourselves to ourselves, but bumped into Carl outside. Lovely and knowledgeable. It really seems like nothing is too much trouble.
Local food recommendations are great, especially by The Railway, pub/Indian which is walking distance and delicious.
Would highly recommend and would love to return sometime.

We had an incredible time at this beautiful property! The house was spotless, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights was the pool table, where we spent a fun evening playing games and enjoying drinks from our very own bar—it felt like our own private retreat!
The outdoor space is equally amazing, with a gorgeous view of the river that made every morning and evening magical. The garden was beautifully maintained, with plenty of cozy spots to sit and unwind. Whether it was sipping tea in the morning or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening, it was the perfect setting.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
